More Shadowhunters Obsession

I head back home today from the beach. It’s so much more beautiful here today than I thought it would be. The weather predictions were pretty dire for the day originally—rainy and cold, but it’s actually just kind of overcast with a little sun peaking through. 

 

I’m watching Shadowhunters today again. I was going to watch while I ate my lunch, but I ended up coloring a page instead, though, now I am actually eating my lunch so I guess there’s that. I’ve almost finished season 1–I think I knew I would have to watch the Magnus episode before I went home today. I was never going to be able to leave before I got to watch them get to THAT moment. Ridiculous, I know. 

 

Yesterday I spoke about how much I love Luke Galloway, and I totalllyyy do, but I also want to talk about how much I love Magnus Bane, omg. Unapologetic, beautiful, powerful as fuck, and bisexual as fuck?? Not to mention, a person of color? BE STILL MY HEART. 

 

This show is one of my few exceptions to the “the book was better” rule of thumb. I enjoyed the books, I did. I read the original series, but I haven’t read any of the prequels or the follow up series. I may one day, but I read the books because of Magnus and Alec, so I’m not sure about reading any of the others. 

 

Oh man, almost to the moment! I love the way they wrote Lydia’s reaction. I was so worried about who they would make her be, but they wrote this wonderful, strong, courageous woman and I just couldn’t have been happier about that.

 

Okay, I gotta get go, lol. 

I may have to write more on this later.
