It doesn’t really help me get “ahead” in my working towards my goal of having an 80% - 88% feedback rate when I request more titles than I already have to work on, but sometimes I just can’t help myself… And by sometimes, I mean quite often. I got access to two more books since I made the goal, but I have read and reviewed four books in the same span (speaking specifically of NetGalley--not any other books I’ve read or reviewed) so I’m now up to 50% reviewed. I expect I’ll have “Hot and Badgered” finished pretty quickly because I love Shelly Laurenston’s books so much and I’ve been waiting for aggggeesss on this one in particular. I’m pretty excited all around to get it read. Once I have it read it won’t take me long to write a review. Writing reviews doesn’t usually take very long, especially not when it’s an author or book that I’m passionate about.

I have requested yet another title as well, but I don’t really expect that I’ll get access to it. We’ll see I suppose. I requested one of her last books a couple of years ago and I didn’t get that one, but it’s not impossible that I could get access to this upcoming one. If I did, it would be pretty wicked, but I’ll be fine if I don’t.

I had to choose between reading and writing for the few quiet minutes I have left in my day. I suppose I could work on an actual work project, but, honestly, I’d just rather not. I don’t want to get into a major project when a) I’m tired, I worked this weekend so this feels like a Thursday, b) I’m not working tomorrow so I’d have to wait until Thursday to pick the thing back up, and c) we only have a few minutes left before closing duties start anyway. And actually, I might as well start now.
