Tired, tired, sleepy

As I recently posted to the Not-NaNo group my friends and I (okay, mostly Rebby) have put together, I said that I would allow myself $1 to spend towards a book I want to buy for every 1,000 words I wrote. I’m not concerned with my Kindle Unlimited or Audible subscriptions since those are part of my normal “budget” (I haven’t followed an actual budget ever, but I am working on developing an actual one now that I want to stick. 

Side note: Have you ever heard of “The Five Levels of Drinking” by Larry Miller? If you haven’t heard “The Five Levels of Drinking” I highly recommend you get your ass over to YouTube and look it up (it was there the last time I looked anyway). It’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard and I quotes bits of it on the regular because a) I know nearly all of the by heart, b) because it’s more relevant than you might expect, c) it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. One of the things I love about it, is that it’s mostly pure. I’m not sure about like one comment it makes (something like “there are five levels; six if you live in a trailer park, but never mind that now”) but there are no creepy rape jokes, no racists comments, no putting anyone down. I haven’t heard the rest of the stand-up routine, like I’m sure the part I’m talking about is a five minute part of a 50 minute routine, so I can’t speak for the rest of of all that. I bring it up because when I talk about “sticking to my budget this time” it reminds me of the end of that bit. I really do think anyone who is remotely confident in their understanding of the English language should check it out. 

Anyway, to encourage me to spend less money—particularly on books since I tend to buy them with abandon—and increase my overall word count, we’re tying them together. 

I’m so flipping tired and I need to go to sleep but I just remembered I need to do my weekly goal update on writing.com too!
