Dean vs Sam - The Supernatural Debate
Nov. 6th, 2011 12:05 amI decided I had no interest in Supernatural when the show originally started. I had initially thought it would be a Smallville spin-off and I was obsessed with Smallville, racing home to see it every Thursday night after work (it later would move to Friday night). When I realized that Supernatural had nothing to do with Smallville, that Jensen Ackles had merely left Smallville to pursue a leading part in this new show on the CW, I lost all interest.
Two brothers who do what now? You know what, never mind - I don't care.
Skip forward a couple of seasons into the show, I started hearing buzz, how great it is, how my acquaintances were in love with one brother or the other, that one Angel is hot, etc. After numerous eye rolls from me, people stopped telling me about it.
Queue a day off only a few weeks ago, when I was at home one morning looking for something to watch with a bowl of cereal propped on my knee. TNT was showing two of the very first episodes of the series (they show two a day during the week), I thought, why not?
I will tell you why not. Had I known then what I know now... Well, okay I wouldn't do anything different, no sense in pretending, but still it might have given me pause.
In a matter of weeks, I have watched five seasons all the way through and only have three episodes remaining until I have finished season six.
It turns out, I’m a Dean girl. Big time.
