"Goals" for February

1) Write something and keep track of the daily word count - ish. 

2) Finish something I'm writing, dammit.

3) Read/Finish two books from the "Alphabet Challenge" 

4) Do some tidying up in the room. 

5) Don't be a complete recluse. 

6) Don't spend money I don't actually have.

I have been keeping track of my word count! Though I've rounded to the nearest 100 quite a bit. Lol.

Lol, I do round down. Ha, the other day I was at like 185 and I was like dammit "Do I put 100, or try to write 20 more words cross eyed tired?" I rounded to 100, I was THAT tired.

Seriously, right? I haven't read anything much this month, but I haven't spent anything crazy, I have been writing and I've left my house for reasons other than work, so I'd say so far so good.

Well you could always write 150. That would work. You don't have to write the nearest 100.

I thought about doing to the nearest 50, I think hearing it from a second person is kind of helpful.

I'm more than half way through "Oh. My. Gods." so there's that. Then I need to read my bookclub book.

Good. I'm glad to hear that. Honestly when I count...I just write whatever the words are. So if I write 177, that's what I write down. Make sense? It makes uneven numbers, but its an accurate count.

Woot! That book sounds funny and I can't wait to read it.

I did write last night...but well...25 words by the time we got here. Hey still words!

My thing about rounding down comes into play because some times you delete words while editing. There is no real way to see how much you're writing EXACTLY, but rounding makes me feel like I'm keeping track but if I delete some words it won't hurt the count of the following day too much. I don't know how it makes sense exactly, but it's Kate logic, so what do you expect?

They're still words you write. Even if I edit them out or we edit them later...you still wrote them in the first place. And I'm editing out a TON less then I used to. Besides, most word counts go from the original, not the edited. Did that make sense? And I like Kate logic :-)

Yeah, but I just get all con-fuddled if I don't keep it some what simplified. You know I have the attention span of a goldfish and the math skills of a three year old (I can hold up three fingers because I'm three years old).
