Trick-or-Treat!

In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad tohave you on my flist, etc. etc.). The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!

Happy Halloween!

“I don’t like this,” Danny grumbled, not for the first, second or even third time in the evening.

“I don’t either,” Steve didn’t look up from the gun he was cleaning on his table while Danny paced around his kitchen.

“Then why are we doing this again?”

“This was your idea, Danny,” Steve replied, now fully at easy with the other man’s constant motion. Steve wondered how often Danny’s teacher’s had yelled at him to sit down. The idea of a tiny – well tinier – Danny with slicked hair being fussed at to “Have a seat!” almost made him laugh aloud, but he didn’t want Danny to think he was laughing about the situation at work.

“I know. I just, I’m not, I don’t - ”

“I know, but it is for the best that we hide “us” from her as best we can. We don’t know what she’s reporting to the Governor and you know what he’d do to the team if he had proof we were involved.”

“I know. We can’t take the risk,” a statement Danny accompanied with a sigh. He was pinching the bridge of his nose again. Steve’s wrapped his hand around Danny’s to pull it away from his face.

Steve leaned to press a kiss into Danny’s forehead.

“In the meantime,” Steve said, “it is really convenient that your lease on that dump is ending soon. It gives us a perfectly good excuse for you to move in with me,” Steve held his breath for a moment to see how Danny would respond.
Danny smiled.

Steve and Danny are right not to trust Lori--they don't know her true motivations.
