Summary: A brief look at Kono's mind when she's watching McGarrett and Hesse meet.

Steve had asked Kono not to kill Hesse, and he was the one person who had more reason to want Hesse dead than she did. The risk of inadvertently setting off the bomb finalized her decision not to kill Hesse in cold blood. No, "cold blood" wasn't right. Her blood felt like lava - thick, hot, destructive. But fury could make her blind. Breathe. Chin needed her. For years she had needed him, needed him as her protector, teacher, friend, and, more recently, teammate. For the first time, he needed her. She would not fail him.

Settle. Aim. Breathe. Pull.

I really like this. I think Kono has a lot of potential for character development on the show and I'm glad to see a fic from her pov. Great job!

I think they're giving her better and better moments on the show. I hope they continue in the recent vein they have been of showing her as a strong and feminine girl who can and will kick your ass when you're out of line.
