Stretch Goals
Nov. 23rd, 2017 01:08 amI’m really glad I was able to find that email where I said I thought I had decided on 50,000 words for the year. It makes me feel better to know what my original goal was even if I’m pretty much changing it now. I’d be loathe to think I didn’t read as many pages as I had originally set out to read and not being sure what goal I’d set was driving me crazy.
It’s interesting, because I feel like this is the month that I’ve written the most and the most consistently since summer, I’ve had plenty of time for movies and TV at home, and I’ve read a shit ton. I’m also fairly well rested on a whole. I stayed up too late last night admittedly but that’s becoming the exception rather than the norm. Not that I’m going to bed early by any means, it’s just that I’m able to sleep later on a whole and that’s working out much better with my natural sleep rhythm. It’s still sort of surprising how much I feel like I’ve been able to do this month. Granted, I have had more time off than usual with Veteran’s Day the other week and Thanksgiving tomorrow so that may be helping me too.
I got sidetracked. How surprising.
Anyway, today I hit 50,000 pages! And then some! Woot! So that this point I think I need about 240 - 260 pages a day to reach 60,000 so that’s going to be my “stretch” goal. I’ve been making good progress, so fingers crossed!
