“We may need to take certain measures in order to, um, secure her position.” The Prince hoped his voice remained steady, but he wasn’t sure he was going to manage. His stomach was vacillating between attempting escape through his toes and his throat.
“What measures?” Daniel asked.
“Keep in mind what will happen if we don’t.”
Daniel rolled his eyes, and repeated his question. “What measures?”
“I mean, you said you would sacrifice your life to save hers.”
“So this might get me killed? There's a surprise, I already knew you were going to be the death of me.”
“No, that’s not what I meant! I was attempting - ”
“Prince, I’m going to ask you one more time before I punch you,” Daniel paused to take a deep breath, “What measures?”
"Will you marry me?"
